Usage warnings
Do not apply directly to injured, irritated or broken skin. Do not freeze below the indicated temperature or heat for longer than recommended. Always check the temperature before bringing it into contact with skin. Do not use continuously for more than twenty minutes at a time. Not suitable for children under three years old. If the gel pack leaks, stop using it.

Temperature sets the clock
Core body temperature drops a few tenths of a degree in the hours before sleep. It's not a consequence of falling asleep: it's one of the signals that precedes it. Cooling the forehead and temples supports a process the body is already trying to do on its own.
